All runners are subject to stringent metallurgical tests, including X-ray and ultrasonic fault detection.
For belt-driven generators in the lower power range, the generator is mounted alongside the turbine.
For higher outputs, the bedplate is extended to mount a directly coupled generator.
The units are mounted on rigid bedplates which are machined and aligned in the factory thus, reducing to a minimum the need for local fitting skills.
